WORK AREA

Use this press only on a surface that is stable, level, dry, non-slippery, and capable of
sustaining the load. Ensure that the workpiece is centre-loaded and secured.
Bolt the press to the floor when using it on bulky or unstable items.
Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work area clean and well-lit. DO NOT
expose the press to rain or any other kind of bad weather. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock. DO NOT use in the presence of flammable
gases or liquids.
Keep anyone not wearing appropriate safety equipment away from the work area.
Distraction can cause you to lose control.
Store unused equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to
prevent rust. ALWAYS lock up tools and keep them out of the reach of children.

HYDRAULIC SAFETY

Make sure all hoses are maintained in good condition.
DO NOT attempt makeshift repairs to hydraulic system. Such repairs can fail
suddenly and create a hazardous condition.
Wear proper hand and eye protection when searching for a high-pressure hydraulic
leak. Use wood or cardboard as a backstop instead of hands.
If hydraulic fluid penetrates the skin, seek medical attention immediately. Serious
infection or toxic reaction will develop.
DO NOT adjust relief setting of hydraulic system.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The maximum load is 10 tonnes. DO NOT exceed this rated capacity. NEVER apply
excessive force to a workpiece and ALWAYS use the pressure gauge to accurately
determine the applied load.
Inspect the press before each use. DO NOT use if bent, broken, cracked, leaking or
otherwise damaged, if any suspect parts are noticed, or it has been subjected to a
shock load.
Check to ensure that all applicable bolts and nuts are firmly tightened.
DO NOT use the floor press to compress spring or any other item that could
disengage and cause a potential hazard. NEVER stand directly in front of a loaded
press and NEVER leave a loaded press unattended.
DO NOT make any modifications to the press.
DO NOT use brake fluid or any other improper fluid and avoid mixing different types
of oil when adding hydraulic oil. Only good quality hydraulic jack oil can be used.
UNPACKING
Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box.
Make sure that all items listed in the parts list are included.
Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the tool was not damaged while shipping.
INSTRUCTIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Do not dispose of the hydraulic oil in the usual household garbage; hand it over at a
collection point for the recycling of such chemical substances or consult your
provincial law for appropriate disposal. The materials are recyclable as mentioned in
its marking. By recycling, material recycling or other forms of re-utilization, you are
making an important contribution to protect our environment.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Use the right tool for the job. DO NOT attempt to force a small tool or attachment to
do the work of a larger industrial tool. The tool will perform better and more safely
at the task for which it was intended. DO NOT modify this tool or use for a purpose
for which it was not designed.
Maintain tools with care. Keep tools clean and in good condition for a better and
safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
Inspect tool fittings, alignment, and hoses periodically and, if damaged, have them
repaired or replaced by an authorized technician. The handle must be kept clean,
dry, and free from oil and grease at all times. A properly-maintained tool reduces the
risk of binding and is easier to control. Applying excessive force can lead to slips and
damage to your work or personal injury.
Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Check that keys and adjusting wrenches are
removed from the tool or machine before connecting it.
Only use the lubricants supplied with the tool or specified by the manufacturer.
Other lubricants may not be suitable and may damage the tool or even make the
tool explode.
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the steel
parts to avoid rust.
Maintain the label and name plate on the tool. These carry important information. If
unreadable or missing, contact an authorized dealer for replacement.
