Safety elements assembly
WARNING
Grinder can be used only with protection
guard [2-2]/[2-3] fastened with screw [2-5]
and attached additional holder.
5.1 Protection guard
Protection guard is constructed by the manufac-
turer in such a way, that it can be easily turned to
required position or removed.
After pressing the pressure point, the protection
guard must be turned without using signifi cant
force until it snaps in position, otherwise the pro-
tection guard must be re-assembled, or the arrest-
ing mechanism cleaned.
In the required working position, the guard must
be fastened with a screw [2-5] to the bearing lid to
prevent it from moving by normal force, and then
the device can be started and operated.
Removing the protection guard
Using hexagonal key [2-4] carefully and completely
(adhered nut) remove the screw [2-5]. Do not use
force!
Place protection guard [2-2] in required position
and remove it from bearing lid [2-1].
When re-assembling the guard, make sure the pin
and mortise comply (see fi gure [2 a]).
Protection guard for cutting
For cutting metal, always work with the protection
guard for cutting [2-3].
The protection guard for cutting [2-3] is mounted in
the same manner as the protection guard [2-2].
Arresting mechanism cleaning
Remove the protection guard [3-6].
Remove fastening nut [3-8] and fastening fl ange
[3-7].
Release and remove fastening screws [3-5].
Carefully remove the fl exible washer [3-4], three
balls [3-3] and washer [3-1] and [3-2].
Carefully clean all parts. Replace faulty parts.
Administer a small amount of common multi-purpose
lubricating grease into fl exible washer balls [3-4].
Assemble all parts in the reverse order. Pay atten-
tion to same orientation of carrier washer (mortise)
and fl exible washer.
WARNING
Use fastening screws [3-5] PT 3.5x14 to fas-
ten arresting mechanism. During protection
guard or arresting system maintenance, at-
tention must be paid to applying the same
screws, do not use other sized screws, oth-
erwise the spindle wheel can get stuck or
guard insuffi ciently attached, which can
cause safety hazards.

5.2 Additional holder [fi gure 4]
Special construction "VIBRASTOP" regulates the
vibrations with additional holder. Additional hold-
er can be screwed from the left or right side of
gearbox. Some operations may require the holder
screwed to the top of gearbox.
5.3 Exhaust cover DCC-AGP 125
[fi gure 5]
The exhaust cover is additional equipment for an-
gle grinders, to be used for safer and more ac-
curate dry cutting, concrete or stone grooving by
diamond discs.
Exhaust cover DCC-AGP 125 combined with angle
grinder PROTOOL (AGP 125-14 D or AGP 125-14 DE),
diamond discs and PROTOOL suction adapter can
be used for dry grooving and cutting of stone or
concrete.

Fastening the grinding
wheel
6.1 Assembly with standard
fastening nut [fi gure 6]
Mounting
Clean the fl ange [6-2] and fastening fl ange [6-3]
and grinding wheel fastening areas.
Mount the fl ange [6-2] with shoulder out to grind-
ing wheel [6-1].
Mount grinding wheel. Flange shoulder must fi t the
grinding wheel aperture.
6.2 Assembly with FASTFIX
fastening nut [fi gure 7]
Some devices are equipped with quick-acting nut
FASTFIX, which can fasten the grinding wheel
without using tools (see note on the package
– FASTFIX). This fastening nut can be fastened
or loosened by hand (do not use any additional
equipment!).
Grinding wheel assembly is the same as in other
devices without the quick-acting nut, with the ex-
ception of:
- Press spindle arrest
- Move the safety strap upwards. Screw and fas-
ten the quick-acting nut [7-1]. Tip the safety
strap back.
Safety strap can only be moved out when
fastening or loosening the grinding wheel,
otherwise the grinding wheel can slip off
the spindle!
Before starting the device, make sure the grinding
wheel rotates freely.
