The RMD 03 is ready to receive the file created with Notepad as soon as the following
message is displayed:
- In Hyper Terminal® menu, select Transfer> Send text file...; select the file and validate.
- When the transfer is complete, the following message is displayed on the PC:
- If the message is not displayed, the reason can be one of the followings:
- Bad configuration of Hyper Terminal® software. XON-XOFF flow control must be
selected.
• Reconfigure Hyper Terminal®;
• validate the configuration;
• close Hyper Terminal®;
• run again Hyper Terminal®.
- The file to be transmitted did not include «End of File» information followed by a
carriage return.
Procedure to receive from the RMD 03 the correspondence file of 28-bit hexadecimal
in decimal
- Connect the PC to the RMD 03.
- Run Hyper Terminal® with the correct configuration.
- Go to «SEND» mode.

- In Hyper Terminal® menu, select Transfer > Capture text file; select the file and
validate.
- On the PC keyboard, press «ENTER».
- In Hyper Terminal® menu, select Transfer > Capture text file; then stop.
The file is saved.
The first time the RMD 03 is used, an example file is given. It can be helpful to use this
example file under Notepad to create a real correspondence file.
4.3.4. «STOP» Menu
This menu is used to stop the receiver and reduce consumption (210 µA).
