4.3.3.5. Menu «ID28»
This mode is used to assign a decimal number to a beacon encoded on 28-bit.

(1) RECV Menu
This menu is used to receive by the serial link, a file containing the correspondence of
the ID number in 28-bit and in decimal number. The file size must be limited to 1000
beacons numbers.
(2) SEND Menu
This menu is used to send by the serial link, a file containing the correspondence of
the ID number in 28-bits and in decimal number.
Operation
• Equipment required: a PC in terminal emulation mode
Use Hyper Terminal® under Windows® configured as follows:
Bits per seconds: according to selection performed in «COMM/BAUD» mode.
Data Bits: 8
Parity: None
Flow control: XON-XOFF
Terminal: VT52
• File to be transmitted: this file is a text file created with Notepad or any other text
editor. It is made up of several lines; the hexadecimal 7-character number of each
beacon must be on a line, and on the same line its correspondence in decimal 6-
character. The last line is made up of «End of file» text followed by a carriage
return.
Example of file:

The first time the RMD 03 is used, an example file is given in the «SEND» mode.
Procedure to send the correspondence file of 28-bit hexadecimal in decimal
- Connect the PC to the RMD 03.
- Run Hyper Terminal® with the correct configuration.
- Go to «RECV» mode.
