Problem
Kettle is plugged in but will not turn on

I selected 212°F but the Kettle always stops at 204°F

Troubleshooting

If the Kettle is plugged in and turned on without any water, it will automatically
shut off to prevent overheating. The Kettle will be able to turn on again in a few
Your Kettle might need to be descaled. See page 12 for descaling instructions.
Check your altitude; your boiling point may be lower than 212°F. The Kettle
cannot reach temperatures higher than your altitude's boiling point.
To change temperature unit while in use, press OXO button for 3 seconds, twist
dial to choose between F and C, and press OXO button again to confirm. The
display will show the temperature of the water as it is being heated.
