b) Electric smog?
The topic "electric smog" is discussed everywhere today . In scarcely any other field do so
many opinions of scientists, public institutions and sensitive persons clash. While ny the one
side any effect on the human body at low transmitter/radiation output is negated, the other side
believes that insomnia, nervousness, tiredness and other problems are caused by radio
signals.
Due to the low transmission power, a danger to your child by the Babyphone can be ruled out
on the basis of current knowledge.
Nevertheless, we recommend you to maintain a safety distance of at least one metre (1m)
between your baby and the transmitter.
Never place the transmitter in the cot or next to it.
You should naturally also keep the plug-in power unit or other electric devices at least one
metre away from your baby. This does not only apply due to possible electrosmog, but also for
safety reasons.
c) Handling batteries)
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Use either the two mains adapters supplied or respective batteries (not supplied) to operate
the transmitter and receiver.
The energy content of the batteries result in operating times of approx. 3-8
hours.
We therefore recommend using the supplied mains adapters for cost and
environmental purposes.
Operation with batteries is possible, but the operating time is short due to the
low energy content.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries
being swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. This
constitutes a danger to life.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries might cause acid burns when getting
into contact with skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
