6.4. Protecting people

Warning: Protect other people in the work area. These people
should wear the same personal protective equipment as the user.
Warning: Ensure that unauthorized personnel are not able to
access the nut splitter.
Warning: Pay attention to the work area. All non-essential person-
nel should be excluded from the work area during operation.

7. Maintenance and cleaning

Always keep the nut splitter clean. You can use standard machine
cleaners to clean it. Follow the instructions for the cleaner you are
using.
Lubricate the outsides of the nut splitter chisel on a regular basis.
The outsides rub against the casing. Sufficient lubrication will
increase the service life.
The chisel must always be in perfect working condition. The chisel
must be replaced in case of cracks, splits or insufficient sharpness.
