Troubleshooting - MAGNAFLUX Y-2 AC Yoke Manuel D'utilisation

Switch Replacement:
Use Y-2 Switch Replacement Kit p/n 629261. Refer to figure below.
1.
Loosen TORX screw and remove the switch compartment cover.
2.
Carefully unseat the switch and remove. NOTE: The torsion spring is under tension. Take
care not to lose the spring during disassembly of the switch compartment. If the spring
comes out, use the instructions below for reassembly of the trigger actuator.
3.
Cut the wires to the old switch approximately halfway (1.5 in / 38 mm), leaving enough wire
for stripping and splicing. NOTE: Ensure that there is enough room to place the butt splice
underneath the switch.
4.
Strip both ends of each wire (one from switch and other from yoke) and splice them
together, matching wire colors.
5.
Fit the switch onto the alignment pins under the trigger actuator. Replace the switch
compartment cover and secure with the TORX screw until hand tight.
Trigger Actuator Assembly:
1.
Place torsion spring into the housing with the straight leg in slot as shown in figure below.
2.
Slide the pin through the two holes of the actuator.
3.
To assemble actuator back into the housing, rotate bent spring leg to install angle and
place into the switch cavity area of the switch housing.
4.
Place pin end into the boss hole and position the spring bent leg in the slot. Fit the actuator
into the switch compartment.

Possible Solution/Troubleshooting Steps
Plug cord into a fully grounded outlet or
extension cord
Replace power cord
Follow service procedure for switch
replacement. Contact Authorized Service
Center for assistance.
Replace Extension Cord
Reset GFI button
File or grind feet back to original flat condition
or replace
Adjust feet to make flat full contact with weight
See table in precautions for proper size
Part No. 624115 Test weight should be used
Loosen slightly with properly sized wrench
Remove bolts and legs. Clean with a wire
brush to remove rust buildup. Re-assemble
using a rust remover/preventer such as LPS-2.
Re-tighten bolts until legs are tight but still
move freely.
