9. Troubleshooting

Problem
No sounds can be
heard from the hearing
amplifier.
The tone is very weak
and faint.
Possible causes
- Hearing amplifier is not switched on.
- Battery is not inserted correctly (polarity).
- Battery flat.
- Microphone is dirty.
- Hearing amplifier is damaged.
- Volume setting on hearing amplifier is too low
- Battery is almost flat.
- Earplug is dirty.
- Microphone is dirty.
- The earphone may be damaged.
- Remove the earpiece and the small tube piece of the
hearing amplifier and clean the parts using lukewarm
water.
- Battery compartment not securely closed. Close the
battery compartment.
