CENTRAL AND SIDE AIR INTAKES - REPLACING
Removing the intakes
The air intakes are fixed to the shell with two-way adhesive tape, to remove them just life them on one side and pull.
If they are difficult to remove, use a tool (for ex. a screwdriver). Slide it in the air intake holes and lever on the shell.
During this operation protect the helmet from the tool using a cloth so it does not damage or scratch the painted layer.
Do not put the tool in-between the edge of the air intake and the shell.
After removing, before replacing the parts, remove any adhesive residues from the shell.
Re-assembling the intakes
Fix the intakes using two-way adhesive tape, the surfaces must be perfectly clean (not greasy) and dry to make sure
they stick perfectly and securely.
Before applying, carefully clean the surfaces where the device has to be applied.
Verify the positioning of the devices by applying them on the shell in the correct position, before removing the two-way
adhesive protection liner.
Side air intakes: They must be positioned in the relevant seats specifically designed on the shell.
Before applying them, make sure the lock positions are correctly in line with the longitudinal axis of the
helmet.
Central air intake: Position the air intake so that, when the opening lever is blocked in the central position,
the little panel in the lower part of the air intake, perfectly matches the opening on the shell. Therefore,
verify that the air intake is in line with the longitudinal axis of the helmet.
If necessary use a pencil to mark the position, before the final application.
Remove the protection liner.
Position the piece on the shell in the right position by pushing evenly on the sides.
During the application avoid touching the two-way adhesive tape with your fingers.
Removing and then re-positioning the adhesive will make it less effective.
The tape sticks immediately; the maximum performances of the adhesive tape are reached after 24 hours from appli-
cation. Do not use the helmet during this period of time.

Enlèvement
Les prises d'air sont fixées à la calotte par du ruban bi-adhésif ; pour les enlever, il suffit de les soulever d'un côté et
de tirer d'un seul coup. Si l'enlèvement présente des difficultés, il est possible d'utiliser un outil (un tournevis, par
exemple) en l'introduisant dans les trous d'entrée de l'air et en faisant levier sur la calotte. Pendant cette opération,
protéger avec un chiffon le point d'appui de l'outil sur la calotte de façon à ne pas provoquer de dommages ni de d'éra-
flures sur la couche de
Après l'enlèvement, avant de procéder au montage des pièces de rechange, enlever de la calotte les éventuels rési-
dus d'adhésif.
Remontage
La fixation est réalisée à l'aide de ruban bi-adhésif ; les surfaces d'application doivent être parfaitement propres
(dégraissées) et sèches pour garantir une adhérence efficace et sûre.
Avant l'application, nettoyer soigneusement les surfaces sur lesquelles la pièce doit être appliquée.
Vérifier le positionnement des pièces en les appliquant sur la calotte dans la bonne position, avant d'enlever la bande
de protection du ruban bi-adhésif.
Prises d'air latérales : Elles doivent être placées dans le creux prévu sur la calotte. Avant de les appliquer,
contrôler que les positions d'arrêt sont alignées sur l'axe longitudinal du casque.
Prise d'air centrale : Placer la prise d'air de façon à ce que le volet de fermeture situé dans la partie
inférieure de la prise d'air, avec le levier d'actionnement bloqué dans la position centrale, coïncide
parfaitement avec le trou pratiqué sur la calotte. Contrôler ensuite que la prise d'air est alignée sur
l'axe longitudinal du casque.
Utiliser éventuellement un crayon pour marquer sa position avant de l'appliquer définitivement.
Enlever la bande de protection.
Placer la pièce sur la calotte dans la bonne position en exerçant une pression uniforme sur les bords.
Pendant l'application, éviter de toucher le ruban bi-adhésif avec les doigts.
L'enlèvement et le repositionnement suivant de la pièce réduit l'efficacité de l'adhésif.
L'adhésion a un effet immédiat ; le bi-adhésif offre les meilleures prestations 24 heures après son application. Ne pas
utiliser le casque pendant cette période de temps.
