Start up
The immersion blender can be used to blend soft fruit and
cooked vegetables, or to prepare baby food or purees. Large
items should be roughly chopped beforehand.

Caution! The container provided is not heat resistant. Allow
boiled foodstuffs to cool somewhat before beginning.
Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from
the power supply.
Attach the blender or chopper bowl at the bottom of the drive
unit by turning the drive unit clock-wise against the blender/
chopper bowl until you hear an audible click from the blender/
chopper bowl, meaning that it is locked in place. The triangle
symbol on the drive unit should now be at the position of the
closed symbol of the blender/ chopper bowl. There should not
be any gap between the driver unit and the blender / chopper
bowl. The blender/ chopper bowl must be held firmly in the
drive unit and should not wobble or fall out.
Choose the desired speed setting using the two speed buttons
on the appliance. Hold the blender in the foodstuff.
Caution: spattering is likely when using the blender. To avoid
any spattering, the lower end with the blender blades should
always be entirely covered. For liquid foodstuffs, the appliance
should always be held at a slight angle for improved blending.
If using hot foodstuffs, be careful not to hold the appliance in
the steam to avoid any condensation forming on the drive unit.
If necessary, protect the drive unit and your hands from hot
steam with a small, clean kitchen towel. Wipe any condensation
off the housing immediately.
Now connect the mains plug to the socket. Hold the appliance
firmly in one hand and press one of the speed buttons. The mo-
tor will begin to operate. As soon as your foodstuff has reached
the desired consistency, and after a maximum of one minute,
release the speed button. Wait until the motor and the blades
have come to a stop, then remove the blender / chopper bowl
from the appliance.
Always remove the mains plug from the socket before placing
theappliance on a suitable surface.
Cleaning care
Disconnect the mains plug immediately after use.
Always clean the blender immediately after use to prevent
dried-on leftovers from damaging the bearing of the blender /
chopper bowl. For preliminary cleaning, let the blender run for a
short period time in a container with hot water. Let the chopper
bowl run for a short period time with hot water.
The blender/ chopper bowl is locked into the appliance during
