INSTALLATION
• Mixer: Supply with cold water and hot water at 70°C maximum (we recommend 45°C to avoid
the risk of scalding).
• Pressure: 1 - 5 bar (100 - 500kPa), we recommend 3 bar (300kPa). Maximum pressure differential at
the inlets: 1 bar.
• Take care not to pinch the flexibles (Fig. B).
REMEMBER
• Our mixers must be installed by professional installers in accordance with current regulations
and recommendations in your country, and the specifications of the fluid engineer.
• Sizing the pipes correctly will avoid problems of flow rate, pressure loss and water hammer
(see calculation table in our brochure and online at www.delabie.com).
• Protect the installation with filters, water hammer absorbers and pressure reducers to reduce
the frequency of maintenance (recommended pressure from 1 to 5 bar maximum).
• Install stopcocks close to the mixer to facilitate maintenance.
• The pipework, filters, non-return valves, stopcocks, bib taps, cartridge and all sanitary fittings should
be checked at least once a year, and more frequently if necessary.
INSTALLING THE MIXERS (FIG. A)
• Mount the mixer body on the washbasin or sink (hole Ø34mm) and tighten the two nuts
on the threaded rods.
• Connect using F3/8" PEX flexibles*. Mixers 2820(EP), 2820L(EP), 2821(EP) et 2821L(EP)
have stopcocks supplied with the flexibles. Install the stopcocks a, as shown in the diagram.
• Ensure a suitable waterproof seal between the mixer and the work plan appropriate to the type
of installation.
All pressure-balancing (EP) mixers must be fitted with the filters supplied to protect the non-return valves
from impurities.
Note: If the cold water supply fails, the pressure-balancing cartridge known as "EP" reduces the flow
of hot water at the outlet.
REMOVING THE BIOCLIP MIXER OR BIOCLIP SPOUT
BIOCLIP mixer (fig. D-1):
To remove the mixer body from its base, shut-off the water supply at the mixer inlets (stopcocks supplied) a
then unscrew the grub screw on the side of the mixer, without removing it completely, using a 2.5mm
Allen key  .
To replace the body, snap the mixer vertically onto the base and tighten the screw. Open the stopcocks
to allow the water to flow again. Mixers are supplied with a covering cap fitted to the base to keep-out
foreign bodies or impurities until the mixer body is mounted. Cleaning the mixer regularly in a de-scaling
solution will prevent the build-up of dirt and impurities and eliminate biofilm.
BIOCLIP spouts (fig. D-2):
Mixers are supplied with 1 disposable spout for installation, alternatively 2 stainless steel spouts
are available (ref. 20002), 15 disposable spouts (ref. 20015) or 10 filter spouts (ref. 20040.10P
or 30040.10P).
Stainless steel and filter spouts: To remove the spout, turn through 90° clockwise a then pull
towards you  . To insert the spout, reverse the procedure.
Disposable spouts: to remove the spout, pull it towards you.
To insert the spout simply insert into the slot.
