INTRODUCTION

This publication contains all the necessary information and instructions for use maintenance of your
(TOP) TECNO/HYDRA/ENERGY/PROFESSIONAL electropump.
Follow the advice given to obtain optimum performance and correct operation of the electropump.
For any other information you may require, please contact the nearest appointed dealer.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Failure to observe these warnings and/or tampering with the electropump relieves
of any responsibility in the event of damage to persons or things and/or to the electropump.

Before starting up the electropump it is indispensable for the user to know how to perform all the
operations described in this manual and to apply them at all times during use or maintenance of the
electropump.
No particular technical skills are required to use a (TOP) TECNO/HYDRA/ENERGY/PROFESSIONAL
electropump.
The user must absolutely comply with all the accident-prevention regulations in force in
the country in which the electropump is being used.Before using the electropump, always
check that the cable and all the electric devices are efficient.
Never start the electropump (by inserting the plug in the socket and/or switching on the switch),
with bare feet or, worse, with you feet in the water, or with wet hands.
During operation, avoid moving or shifting the electropump.
During electropump repairs or maintenance, remove the plug from the socket and/or
switch off the switch (if provided), thus interrupting the supply of electric power to the
electropump. This will prevent accidental starting which could cause damage to persons
and/or things.
The user must not carry out under his own initiative any operations or jobs not contemplated in this
manual.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

(TOP) TECNO/HYDRA/ENERGY/PROFESSIONAL series electropumps are all similar from the functional
and constructive point of view; the only differences are the following:
power;
flow rate;
head;
electric power supply (single-phase or three-phase);
weight;
dimensions.
The electropumps in the (TOP) TECNO/HYDRA/PROFESSIONAL T-H series are of submersible
type, designed and built to pump cloudy fibre-free water, prevalently for domestic uses in fixed
applications, with manual or automatic operation, for draining cellars and garages prone to flooding,
for pumping drains, rainwater traps or infiltrations from gutters, etc. Thanks to their compact shape
and easy manoeuvrability, they are also suitable for particular applications as portable pumps
for emergency uses, such as for drawing water from tanks or rivers, draining swimming pools or
fountains, excavations or underpasses. Also suitable for gardening and hobby uses in general.
The electropumps in the (TOP) ENERGY/PROFESSIONAL E series, also of submersible type, have been
designed and built for lifting dirty water from septic tanks and are able to deal with suspended solid
bodies with dimensions of up to 50 mm diameter.
In the (TOP) TECNO/PROFESSIONAL T series the impeller is three-channel opened, in the (TOP)
HYDRA/PROFESSIONAL H series the impeller is three-channel opened with strainer, in the (TOP)
ENERGY/PROFESSIONAL E series the impeller
