Installation
Connecting the luminaire by means of
a cable gland and mounting it
NOTICE
Material damage caused by using
unsuitable connecting cables.
Using unsuitable connecting cables
may result in the loss of tightness of
the luminaire.
X Please observe the allowed cable
diameter of the cable gland.
X Run the cable in such a way that it
is introduced straight into the cable
gland.
X Make sure that the connecting cable
outside the luminaire remains tight.
X If you want to mount the luminaire by
means of the hexagon nut, see Tab. 3,
page 22.
X If you want to mount the luminaire by
means of the luminaire bracket, see
Tab. 4, page 23.
X Remove the hexagon nut and the
reducer with the cable gland from the
base of the luminaire.
NOTE: To guarantee the tightness of
the luminaire, connecting cables con-
forming to the specified clamping range
must be used, see Tab. 10, page 30.
X Remove a maximum of 40 mm sheath
from the connecting cable.
X Remove 8 mm insulation from both
wires.
X Attach an insulated 8 mm long ferrule
to each wire.
X Guide the connecting cable through the
reducer and the cable gland.
X If you want to mount the luminaire
directly by means of the hexagon nut:
- Insert the base of the luminaire
through the opening in the mount-
ing surface, see Tab. 3, page 22.
- Align the luminaire in the desired
direction.
- Fix the luminaire by means of the
hexagon nut E on the mounting
surface.
- Connect the wires at the terminal.
To do so, use an auxiliary tool, for
example pliers.
X If you want to mount the luminaire by
means of the luminaire bracket:
- Mount the luminaire bracket
together with the seal G to the
mounting surface, see Tab. 4, page
23.
- Guide the wires through the lumi-
naire bracket.
- Connect the wires at the terminal.
To do so, use an auxiliary tool, for
example pliers.
- Mount the luminaire to the lumi-
naire bracket and fix the luminaire
by means of the fixing screw.
X Mount the reducer with the cable gland
to the luminaire bracket and tighten the
reducer to 3 Nm.
X Tighten the cable gland to 3 Nm.
