Using Wireless LAN Functions
Precautions about radio waves
• There is no need for a radio station license to use the product, since the wireless adaptor built in the product
has been certified to comply with technical standards. Penalties may apply according to law, if following
actions are taken:
− Disassembling or modifying the wireless adaptor built in the product.
− Peeling off the name plate of the product. Otherwise, erasing compliance markings.
• This product uses the frequency bandwidth of 2.4 GHz. The wireless function may not be usable if there is
any other specified low power wireless device in vicinity that has Bluetooth
same frequency bandwidth, or where a microwave oven or other source of strong electromagnetic waves is
present. Furthermore, caution is required on following matters in order to avoid radio frequency interference.
Precautions for using wireless LAN equipment
The frequency bandwidth used by this product is also used by household appliances such as a microwave
oven,as well as industrial, scientific and medical equipment, along with premises radio stations for
manufacturing lines of manufacturing plants for identification of moving bodies (radio stations requiring
licensing), specific low power radio stations (radio stations not requiring licensing) and amateur radio
stations (radio stations requiring licensing).
1. Check to make sure there are no premises radio stations for identification of moving bodies or specific
low power radio stations or amateur radio stations nearby before using the product.
2. In the event any incident of harmful radio frequency interference that impacts premises radio stations
for identification of moving bodies occurs, either change the frequency used with the product or stop
the operation (stop emission of radio waves) of the product promptly.
3. Contact the Support Center for inquiries on other matters, such as when an incidence of harmful radio
wave interference that impacts a specific low power radio station for identification of moving bodies or
an amateur ratio station occurs.
• The wireless adaptor built in the product complies with the following specifications:
− IEEE802.11b/g/n.
− Security: WPA Personal and WPA2 Personal.
• The wireless adaptor of the product uses the entire 2.4 GHz bandwidth and can still avoid the bandwidth of
moving body identifying devices. The DS-SS and OFDM methods are adopted for the modulation system.
The interference range is 40 meters.
