How to Inflate Jacket - Automatic
The life jacket will automatically inflate within 3 seconds when the automatic inflation mechanism comes
into contact with water. This releases the 33g CO2 cylinder into the life jacket.
How to Inflate Jacket - Manual
The life jacket can be inflated manually by grabbing hold of the inflation toggle and giving it a sharp
downward pull to release the 33g CO2 cylinder into the life jacket.
How to Inflate Jacket - Oral Inflation
If using the oral inflation method to fully inflate the life jacket, we recommend removing the automatic
inflation mechanism to avoid damage to the jacket. The oral inflation tube can also be used to top up
the bladder if required. Remove the cap and blow into the tube. Replace the cap after inflation (Pic 1).
How to Deflate Life Jacket
• After your life jacket has been automatically inflated you will need to remove and replace
the CO2 cylinder and re-arm the inflation mechanism. (See re-arming instructions).
1
• Remove the cap from the oral inflation tube and fit it upside down into the inflation tube so that it
depresses the valve (Pic 2). This will release the gas/air from the jacket.
• Gently squeeze the life jacket bladder to remove all gas/air so that the bladder can be packed and
folded correctly.
Warning: If the jacket has been inflated using the CO2 cylinder take care not to inhale the
expelled CO2 gas.
