How to Wear Life Jacket & Adjust to Fit Correctly

• Pass the life jacket over your left arm and then over your right arm in the same way as you would wear
a waistcoat.
• Secure by passing the metal buckle through the metal loop. You will need to turn it to get it through
(Pic 2).
• Adjust the strap that fits around your back by pulling on the strap located on the right side to ensure a
tight snug fit (Pic 4).
Using your Life Jacket
1. Read and fully understand these instructions before use.
2. Check the 33g CO2 cylinder is fitted correctly (screwed in and hand tight) and that the automatic
firing mechanism is showing green.
3. Put on the jacket, buckle and adjust the straps so that it fits comfortably.
4. The life jacket will automatically inflate within 3 seconds on contact with water. It can be inflated
manually using the pull cord and there is an oral inflation tube to top up the bladder if required.
5. The whistle can be used to sound the alarm and attract attention. Six long blasts
repeated at intervals is the international distress signal.
6. The oral inflation tube is also used to deflate the bladder after use or testing.
7. Ensure the life jacket is maintained and correctly re-armed after use.
