SnapFast QD and Standard Snap QD Operating Instructions
WARNING
!
• SnapFast QD and Standard Snap QD ARE NOT to be used as the primary gas shutoff .
Unless upstream gas shutoff valves are completely closed, disconnecting the SnapFast QD
or Standard Snap QD will result in open gas flow .
• DO NOT drop the SnapFast QD or Standard Snap QD coupling on the floor as it may
cause damage to the SnapFast QD or Standard Snap QD .
• NEVER insert foreign objects such as screwdrivers or probes into the SnapFast QD or
Standard Snap QD .
TO CONNECT: Push the SnapFast QD nipple into the coupling body until the coupling sleeve
snaps forward against the retaining ring . For the Standard Snap QD you must retract the
sleeve with one hand to engage the nipple into the coupling body .
TO DISCONNECT: Close the shutoff valve to turn off the gas . Retract the coupling sleeve by
pulling it away from the nipple with one hand . This will disconnect the coupling body from the
nipple .
