WIRING - WIRING THE LUMINAIRE
1. Unscrew six (6) driver door screws and allow driver door to hang on the hinge
provided in the housing. Note that the six screws are retained by additional
threads in the door, do not unthread them all the way out. Do not disconnect
the ground wire.
2. Pull field wiring (maximum 12 AWG) into housing through any of the conduit
entries. See the product nameplate for supply wire requirements. Insert them
into the proper wago leverlock connectors (only use designated terminals shown
for field wiring) per the attached wiring diagrams using methods that comply
with all applicable codes. See Figures 2A & 2B.
3. Close all unused conduit entries with conduit plugs provided. To prevent galling
and to ensure water tightness, lubricate conduit plugs with Eaton's Crouse-Hinds
series HTL lubricant before installing, and secure wrench-tight with at least five
(5) full threads engaged (42-52 ft.-lb. for 3/4" plugs)
4. Close driver housing with driver door, making sure that all wires are safely inside
driver housing.
5. Follow the screw tightening pattern, see Figure 3. Tighten captive closing screw
to 23 in.-lbs. (2.6 N-m). Ensure six (6) compression stoppers on driver door are in
contact with housing.
6. Turn power on.
Note:
A maximum of 8 luminaires may be daisy-chained on a single circuit.
See Figure 2C.

If using optional gray and violet dimming wires provided, for Class 2 dimming control
circuit use only wires rated 600V minimum. Dimming circuit operates on 0-10 VDC,
dimmer is to be certifi ed suitable for use in the environment (ex. Hazardous, Ordinary
locations, etc.) in which it is installed.
ACCESSORIES - SECONDARY RETENTION CABLE
1. Two attachment points for secondary retention are provided, see Figure 4.
Either loop secondary retention cable through the attachment or clip on the
carabiner provided with SC831 accessory kit.
2. Connect cable to a permanent structure or anchor (customer supplied).
3. Remove any slack to ensure the cable is taut and confirm engagement of the
lock.
