Installation
To ensure maximum battery life, it is highly recommended that you al-
low the battery of your F1500-UPS E to charge for at least six to eight
hours prior to initial use. Loss of charge can occur during shipping and
storage and it is best to allow the batteries to fully recharge before
operating the UPS under battery power. To recharge the battery, simply
leave the unit plugged into an AC outlet. The UPS will charge in the ON
as well as the OFF state. If you wish to use the software, connect the
enclosed USB cable to the USB port on the F1500-UPS E and an open
USB port on the computer or server.
DO NOT plug a space heater, vacuum cleaner, paper shredder or other
large electrical device into the F1500-UPS E. The power demands of
these devices will overload and possibly damage the UPS.
Plug the F1500-UPS E into a Schuko grounded receptacle. Make
sure that the branch circuit is protected by a fuse or circuit breaker
and does not service equipment with large electrical demands (e. g.
refrigerator, copier, etc.). Avoid using extension cords. If an extension
cord is used, the cord must be HAR certified for the country in which
the unit is deployed, minimum 1mm
10 Amps. Power cord retainer clips are provided to secure the IEC end
of the power cord to the rear of the F1500-UPS E. The clips should be
installed using only the 3mm by 6.6mm screws provided with the UPS.
The F1500-UPS E will automatically charge the battery whenever it is
plugged into an AC outlet. To maintain optimal battery charge, leave the
F1500-UPS E plugged into an AC outlet at all times.
