Auto Configuration:
New components added to Modbus ports A and B will be detected automa-
tically by the AHC-3000 controller if the operation mode is Service Stop and
Auto Configuration is enabled. Please note that activating Auto Configura-
tion always forces the operation mode into Service Stop mode. Note: set
the operaton mode at Service Stop before doing manually modifying any
configurations.
Connection of OJ-Air2-HMI-20T
The OJ-Air2-HMI-20T is connected to AHC-3000-T and AHC-3000-B via
the RJ12 port marked A on the front (see Fig. 3). The AHC-3000-S can
either have HMI-35T or HMI-20T connected to the RJ12 port marked HMI.
HMI-20T can be used as a room temperature sensor and for daily operation
without AHC-3000-HMI-35T. If a CAT5 cable is used, and 120 ohm termi-
nation resistor is added in HMI-20T end, the length can be max. 100m.
Connection of TTH-6040-W room temperature transmitter
The TTH-6040-W must be connected to port A (see Fig. 3). This is used
when the room temperature is to be measured. The TTH-6040-W cannot
be used in combination with the OJ-Air2-HMI-20T. In the TTH-6040-W, the
address selector must be set to position "0". If a CAT5 cable is used, and a
120 ohm termination resistor, is added in TTH-6040-W end, the length can
be max. 100m.
Connection of TTH-6040-O outdoor temperature transmitter
The TTH-6040-O must be connected to port A (see Fig. 3). This is used
when the outdoor temperature is to be measured. The TTH-6040-O can be
used in combination with the OJ-Air2-HMI-20T or the TTH-6040-W. The
address selector must be set to position "A". If a CAT5 cable is used, and a
120 ohm termination resistor, is added in TTH-6040-O end, the length may
be a maximum of 100 m.
In a Basic BMS network, only one TTH-6040-O is required since outdoor
temperature readings from the Building Master (Room no. 1) are shared
and used by all room masters. See fig. 15a.
A local outdoor temperature sensor can still be used for each room and
should be connected to the Room Master (Rooms nos. 2-25). See fig. 15b.
Installation of TCP/IP connection
The TCP/IP network cable is connected to AHC-3000 via the RJ45 port
marked BMS TCP/IP on the front (see Fig. 10). This port is only available on
AHC-3000-T
This connection is used for transmitting data to/from the OJ Air Cloud and
Modbus TCP/IP BMS interface.
IP address
The IP address in the AHC-3000 can be set to either "DHCP" or "Static" in
the HMI 35 T menu. The factory settings are:
Static/Dynamic IP: Static.
IP address: 192.168.1.100
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS: 192.168.1.1

Installation of BMS Modbus cable
The BMS Modbus RS485 RTU is connected to AHC-3000 via the RJ12
port marked BMS MODBUS RS485 on the front (see Fig. 9). This connec-
tion is used for the Modbus RTU BMS interface. If a CAT5 cable is used,
and 120 ohm termination resistors are added at both ends, the length can
be max. 300m.
Connection of GreenZone™ OJ-ZoneMaster
The OJ-ZoneMaster is connected to AHC-3000 via the RJ12 port marked
MODBUS RS485 on the front (see Fig. 9). This is used when the air volume
needs to be controlled as required in order to save energy. It is not possible
to simultaneously use this port for BMS communication.
Connection as building master
The building master AHC-3000 controller is connected to AHC-3000
controllers in other rooms using the BMS Modbus ports. See Fig. 9. All
controllers shall be connected to the common building master Modbus.
The Building master AHC 3000 will operate as master in the network, and
up to 25 rooms can be monitored from the same HMI. If a CAT5 cable is
used, and 120 ohm termination resistors are added at both ends of the
daisy chain, the length can be max. 300m. See the AHC-3000-HMI-35T
Commissioning Guide for further details regarding configuration. See Figs.
15 and 16.
Connection as room master
The room master/building master AHC-3000 controller is connected
to AHC-3000 controllers in the same room using Modbus port A. All
other controllers in the same room must be connected to the same
room Modbus using BMS Modbus ports. See Fig. 16. The room master

AHC-3000 will operate as master in the room, and the operation of up
to 14 satellite AHC-3000 controllers in the same room can be monitored
and coordinated. If a CAT5 cable is used, and a 120 ohm termination
resistors are added at the remote end of the daisy chain, the length can
be max. 300m. See the commissioning guide for further details regarding
configuration.
Installation of internal Modbus cable
Internal Modbus is connected to AHC 3000 via two parallel RJ 12 ports
marked port B1 and B2 on the front. These ports are only available on
AHC-3000-T and AHC-3000-B. The internal Modbus is used for Modbus
RS485 connections inside the AHU to other OJ Electronics components
such as DV drives for fans, DRHX drives for rotary heat exhangers, PTH
pressure transmitters, HTH humidity transmitters and VTH air quality
sensors. See Fig. 4 The internal Modbus cable shall be MPFK6S or similar
and termination resistors shall not be mounted. See the commissioning
guide for further details regarding configuration.
Connection of HTH-6202 humidity/temperature transmitter
The HTH-6202 must be connected to port B1 or B2 – see Fig. 4
Connection of VTH-6202 Modbus VOC transmitter
The VTH-6202 must be connected to port B1 or B2 – see Fig.4
Connection of PTH-6202 pressure transmitters
Multiple PTH-6202 pressure transmitter can be used and must be con-
nected to port B1 or B2 – see Fig. 4. Each PTH-6202 must have its own
individual address selector setting. It is not allowed to have multiple PTH-
6202s connected to the same address.
Set the address selectors according to the desired function, see table:

Connection of PTH-6202-2 pressure/temperature transmitters
Multiple PTH-6202-2 pressure transmitters can be used and must be
connected to port B1 or B2 – see Fig. 4. Each PTH-6202-2 must have its
own individual address selector setting. It is not allowed to have multiple
PTH-6202s connected to the same address.
Temperature sensors connected to PTH-6202-2 have higher priority
than sensors connected directly to AHC-3000. Set the address selectors
according to the desired function, see table:
