AIR HANDLING CONTROL 3000
AHC-3000 is an intelligent, configurable controller for an air handling unit
(AHU). AHC-3000 contains a preprogrammed range of applications, each
of which can be configured to ensure perfect adaptation to the ventilation
system concerned and the provision of precisely the functions needed for
energy-optimised control.
AHC-3000 handles all control functions, Modbus communication internally
in the AHU and remote communication to BMS and cloud.
AHC-3000 contains several different interfaces for peripheral units, allowing
it to be connected to fans, sensors, pumps and valves.
AHC-3000 can be connected to a BMS system via Modbus interface
Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP. See models in Fig. 2

CONFIGURATION
At the factory
The system designer configures the AHU specific settings in AHC-3000 at
the factory via the user-friendly OJ Air PC Tool or HMI-35T
Please see relevant manuals for further details. Settings are saved in
AHC-3000 as data files containing application and system parameters.
At the installation site
Once the system has been installed, it is tested and commissioned by a
technician, who sets energy-optimising and other user-specific parameters
on site using the AHC-3000-HMI-35T.
Please see the commissioning guide for further details.
Daily operation
Daily users operate the system via the AHC-3000-HMI-35T, OJ-Air2-HMI-
20T or OJ Air Cloud
Installation
AHC-3000 is designed to be mounted on a standard 35 mm DIN rail and
installed in a control panel or similar enclosure which complies with local
requirements for electrical installations (for dimensions, see Fig. 1).
The enclosure rating is IP20. Input and output signals to sensors and
actuators are connected to AHC-3000 by connectors equipped with screw
terminals.
Supply voltage
A 24 V AC or DC power supply must be connected from a 0.2 - 1.5 mm
screw terminal Ø45 (+24V) & Ø46 (G0) on AHC-3000.
G0 must be ground (GND) in order to use a single 24V AC transformer.
All G0 terminals are internally connected in the AHC-3000 and used as
GND for connected fans, sensors and valves. Electrical connections are
illustrated in Fig. 5
Connection of AHC 3000-HMI-35T
The AHC-3000-HMI-35T is connected to AHC-3000 via the RJ12 port
marked HMI on the front (see fig 6)
This HMI can be used simultaneously with OJ-Air2-HMI-20T if installed. If
a CAT5 cable is used, and a 120 ohm termination resistor is added at the
HMI-35T end, the length can be max. 100m.
