Operation:
The solar light is ready assembled.
Place the solar light at the selected place by following the safety and warning notes.
Push the ground spike into the ground by hand. Please do not use a hammer or similar
tool to do this. The ground spike cannot be rammed into rock. There is danger of injury
and the spike could become damaged.
Place the lighting fixture onto the ground spike.
Make sure, after positioning, that the light is securely connected to the base. Watch during
installation out for possible places where people could stumble and trip up.
Look for a suitable place with direct sun light when the unit is being charged up for the first
time.
Make sure that the sun shines directly on the solar unit of the solar light .Shadows falling
onto the solar unit have a negative effect on the charging function of the rechargeable
battery.
The solar LED light is charged up by the solar panel on the top. The day / night sensor
switches it off again during twilight. Make sure that the photo sensor at the top of the light
is not influenced by other light sources. The unit does not switch on during the twilight
otherwise.
The illuminant cannot be changed.
The solar light must be charged up over 2 sunny days for it to reach its optimum
performance. The lighting intensity can vary according to season of the year. More light
will be shone if it has been a sunny day than on a dull/overcast day.
The type name plate must not be removed.
Changing the rechargeable battery:
The use of other declarable batteries can lead to damage being caused.
Remove the old rechargeable batteries. Place the new rechargeable batteries into the battery
compartment. Make sure you have the right polarity for the rechargeable batteries.
Reassemble the parts in the reverse order.
Disposal:
Old electronic equipment must be brought to public connection points and must not be disposed
of as household waste.
Batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste. You are legally obliged, as a final
consumer, to return used batteries. You can hand back batteries after use to the sales point
or to its immediate vicinity (to municipal group collection points or to the trade outlet) for
example.
Batteries containing harmful materials are marked with "crossed out waste bin" and one of
the chemical symbols Cd (= battery contains cadmium), Hg (= battery contains mercury) or
Pb (= battery contains lead).
Batteries may only be handed over in an empty and drained state into the used battery
collection container at retail outlets and at disposal points organized by the public authorities.
Batteries which have not been completely drained must be protected against short circuiting.
A short circuit can be prevented by insulating the poles with adhesive tapes.
