The ORITEL R ORITEL RW 521 ORITEL R W 521 Directional wattmeter W 521
units in UHF rural network radiotelephony stations.
It is intended to measure incident power circulating on a 50 Ω impedance coaxial line and the power
reflected by the cable and the antenna or the load.
The instrument provides a direct reading of :
- the power delivered by a transmitter on its antenna
- the power reflected by the feeder antenna unit or by a load.
Robust, lightweight and compact, a protective shoulder bag is available on option. Due to its battery
operation, it can be used in a laboratory or on site.

Female N input socket to connect the instrument to the transmitter output by means of a 50 Ω
impedance coaxial cable.
Female N output socket to connect the instrument to the antenna or to an adapted load if used for
measurement in a laboratory.
A moving coil galvanometer with 6 measurement scales, and a "BATTERY TEST" verification "zone".
6-position incident power switch, to select the range adapted to the power of the transmitter between
15 dBm and + 40 dBm full scale.
6-position reflected power switch to select the range adapted to the reflected power of the load
between + 10 dBm and + 35 dBm full scale.
