USE & MAINTENANCE
•
The luminaire may only be used in an environment for which it has been designed according to its rating plate.
•
The luminaire may not be used without its cover glass or a PC/acrylic cover.
•
A damaged luminaire must not be used; voltage must be disconnected from it and it must be repaired.
•
Before maintenance, the luminaire must be disconnected and allowed to cool down. It takes several minutes for the
luminaire components to cool down.
•
The conditions of the installation rail, bracket and sealing surfaces should be checked regularly.
•
The product is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2012/19/EC (WEEE), and must be
properly recycled at the end of its service life.
CLEANING
•
The luminaire must be disconnected and allowed to cool down before cleaning. The electronic components and
connectors must not be exposed to moisture.
•
Dust should be cleaned off the exterior surfaces of the luminaire regularly. The recommended interval is 6 months or
less. This helps ensure the efficient functioning of the luminaire, optimal light output and a long service life.
•
If necessary, the exterior surfaces of the luminaire can be cleaned with neutral soap solutions (pH 7), for example
dishwashing liquids. They are also suitable for cleaning of the glass or the polycarbonate cover. Do not spray the
cleaning agent directly onto the surface of the luminaire. Dilute the cleaning agent with water, and use a cloth rag or
a sponge for cleaning.
•
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the luminaire.
•
Please note, that LED luminaires are sensitive to electrostatic discharges (ESD).
REMOVAL OF THE OLD TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE AND INSTALLATION OF A NEW ONE
•
Disconnect the luminaire from the power network and make sure it is not live
•
Allow the luminaire to cool down to the ambient temperature
•
Loosen the luminaire's latches and cover
•
Disconnect the connecting cable from the screw terminal
•
Note that the luminaire's LED light sources are sensitive to electrostatic discharges (ESD). Do not touch the LED chips
•
Remove the old LED technology package by loosening the module's fixing screws
•
Check the condition of the luminaire frame, attachment points, cable glands, latches and the frame gasket
•
Place the new LED technology package on the mounting rails so that it is in the centre of the frame/luminaire both
lengthwise and crosswise.
•
Fix the module to the mounting rail located at the bottom of the luminaire using the two screws included in the
installation bag.
•
Connect the cable wires to the screw terminal.
•
Close the luminaire cover and its latches carefully.
•
Switch the power on.
•
Recycle the old technology package appropriately
