OPERATION
Base load function
Automatic operation is the normal operating mode of the system. The pumps are automatically switched on and off
alternately according to the wastewater level in the collecting chamber. In standby mode, one of the two LEDs for P1 or P2
lights up as the next pump to be started. This indicator flashes during operation
NOTE!
The switch-on command for a pump is only given once both float switches are in their switch-on position!
Operation during peak load function (high water alarm)
In the event of a high water alarm, both pumps are always switched on. The operation of the pumps depends on the posi-
tion of the float switches (switch-on point).
Operation as a single system (emergency operation)
In emergency operation, the control unit can also maintain operation with just one pump connected. In this case, the
pump is only switched on via the high water level sensor; the alarm buzzer sounds and the yellow "high water" LED lights
up. At the same time, the red LED indicates a "fault" because the second pump is not switched on.
Muting the alarm buzzer
Press the "acknowledge" button to confirm the high water alarm.
MAINTENANCE
The control unit is maintenance-free. The high water level sensor must be checked and cleaned at regular intervals, depending on the
quality of the wastewater!
Rechargeable battery for mains-independent alarm (optional)
If a 9V NiMh battery is installed, it must be checked during inspection/maintenance.
∙ Switch off the power supply to the control unit.
∙ Trigger the high water level sensor. Pull the float switch upwards by hand.
– The alarm tone must be clearly audible in pitch and volume for several minutes. If not, replace the rechargeable battery with a new one.
NOTE!
The battery life is about 5-10 years. Note the insertion date on the battery; after five years the battery should be replaced
as a precautionary measure.
An empty rechargeable battery is recharged and ready for operation within approx. 24 hours. Fully charging it takes approx. 100 hrs.
