5 Putting into use

5.1 Checks

− Check that the measuring instrument is undamaged and tha
version.
− Check that the data on the packing slip corresponds with the data shown on the product
received.
If you have any problems and/or in the case of ambiguity: please contact Simco-Ion or your
regional agent.
5.2 Putting into use
Warning:
− The measuring instrument may be severely damaged by vibrations or impact should it
be dropped.
− Stop the measurement when the voltage rating exceeds the measuring range. If the
range is exceeded there is a chance of damaging the sensor.
− The FMX-004 can be used in ionized air. However, the specified accuracy of 10%
cannot be guaranteed.
− Do not press down on the LCD screen.
− It is not necessary to press hard on the buttons or to use your nails. This will reduce
the lifespan of the buttons.
− The battery is already inserted when the measuring instrument is dispatched.
The FMX-004 has four pressure switches to determine the functions of the device.
