IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read though all the instructions before starting to
use the fan. Keep these user instructions in a safe place for
future reference.
1. Supervision is necessary when the fan is used anywhe-
re near children.
2. Only connect the fan to a single-phase power socket
with the current as stated on its type plate.
3. Switch the fan off and disconnect the power plug (1)
from the socket when the fan is not in use, or when it is
moved, handled or cleaned. Do not tug at the cord (1) to
pull the plug out.
4. Do not use an infinitely variable speed controller. This
can lead to overheating, fire, electric shock or faults in the
appliance.
5. Unwind the power cord (1) completely. An incompletely
unwound power cord (1) can lead to overheating and
cause a fire.
6. The fan must not be used unless it has been fully and
correctly installed, as described under the installation
instructions.
7. Do not plunge the fan into water or any other liquids
and do not pour water or any other liquids over the fan.
8. Clean the fan regularly, observing the cleaning instruc-
tions.
9. The fan must only be used in accordance with the
instructions in this user manual. Non-observance of these
instructions can lead to injury, fire or electric shock
10. The fan is designed only for private use in indoor
rooms and is not intended for commercial use. Do not use
the fan anywhere near a bathtub, a shower or a swimming
pool, or anywhere else where water could splash.
11. Do not use the fan if it is damaged or could show
signs of damage, or if it is not working properly. Discon-
nect the power plug (1) from the socket.
12. Place the fan on a firm, even, dry surface. Make sure
the fan is standing securely so that it cannot tip over or fall
down. Maintain a safety distance of at least 50 cm from
other objects.
13. If the power cord (1) of the fan is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or a manufacturer-approved
service centre or by similarly qualified persons, so as to
avoid damage.

FIRST TIME OF USE
1. Read though all the instructions before starting to use
the fan.
2. Unpack the fan and the power cord with power plug (1).
Remove all the packaging materials and dispose of them
for recycling.
3. Place the fan on a firm, even, dry surface. Make sure
the fan is standing securely so that it cannot tip over or fall
down. Maintain a safety distance of at least 50 cm from
other objects.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. First put the rear base (9) onto the underside of the fan
and then press the front base (8) with the four track ope-
nings provided (14) onto the four track guides (15) of the
rear base (9). The rear base (9) has a track (10) for the
power cable on the underside. When mounting, make sure
that the power cable (1) passes through the opening in the
centre of the base.
2. Fix the front and rear bases (8 + 9) with the three cross-
head screws (13) onto the underside of the fan. Make sure
that the front and rear bases (8 + 9) are fixed securely to
the fan.
3. Push the power cable through the track (10) on the
underside of the rear base (9) to the outside.
4. Stand the fan in an upright position. Make sure that the
power cable (1) leads through the opening (12) on the rear
base (9) and that the base (8 + 9) is not standing on the
power cable (1).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

the fan is standing securely so that it cannot tip over or fall
down. Maintain a safety distance of at least 50 cm from
other objects.
