❐ Clean the device after every use and keep it clean.
❐ Only prepare food that is suitable for broiling, toasting, baking, warming up and eating.

Correct Set-up and Connection

❐ The device should only be used in closed rooms.
❐ CAUTION Danger of fi re! Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases are present in
the air.
❐ CAUTION Danger of fi re! The device should never be set up or used in the vicinity of easily
fl ammable materials (curtains, textiles etc.).
❐ CAUTION Danger of fi re! Never operate the device on a stovetop or close to a gas source.
❐ Always set up the device with clearance of approximately 10 cm on all sides and 30 cm
clearance from the top on a dry, fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface to prevent any material
damage or damage to the device.
❐ Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves in order
to avoid damage to the device.
❐ In order to prevent electric shocks, place the device in a location in which the device itself,
the mains cable and the plug cannot come into contact with water or other liquids. Should
the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately.
❐ The device should only be connected to a properly installed socket with earthing contacts.
The socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match
the technical data for the device (see the "Technical Data" chapter). Only use suitable
extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
❐ Ensure that it is not possible for others to trip over the connected cable. The mains cable
must not hang down from the place of use to prevent the device from being pulled down.
Never pull the cable to move the device.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.

Proper Use

❐ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, cable or
plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used until the damage has been
repaired. Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped. In these cases, have
it checked out by a specialist.
❐ If the device is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of any damage,
please contact a specialist or the customer service department to ensure your own safety.
❐ Never leave the device unattended while it is operating and make sure there is suffi cient
ventilation.
❐ The device may not be moved during operation.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
