RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXCESSIVE DRAFT
SAFETY NOTICE: IF THIS UNIT IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED, A HOUSE / BUILDING FIRE MAY RESULT. FOR YOUR
SAFETY, CONTACT LOCAL BUILDING OR FIRE OFFICIALS ABOUT PERMITS, RESTRICTIONS, AND INSTALLATION
If experiencing excessive draft and/or fuel consumption with this unit, the use of a barometric draft regulator is
recommended. Chimney draft is critical to the proper operation and control of this stove. Too much draft will
cause fuel to be quickly consumed, create excessive heat, and potentially cause the stove to over fire. Proper
draft for this stove will be measured with a draft gauge reading of between 0.04˝ to 0.05˝ w.c. The barometric
draft regulator is designed to be easily adjusted and provide proper operating draft levels. For installation and
operation instructions see the instructions included with the barometric draft regulator. If you are unable to install
a barometric draft regulator a limit plate can be installed on the damper of the stove.
LIMIT PLATE INSTALLATION
1. Insert the limit plate through the air slides slot.
2. Once inserted rotate counter clockwise and pull back firmly.
3. Once the limit plate is in position secure it into place using the supplied #10 screw. Once a qualified service
technician has installed the set limit do not alter it.
