CLEANING YOUR TEA MAKER
Unplug it.
Let it cool down and clean it with a damp sponge.
• Never immerse the tea maker, its base, the cord or the electric plug
in water or any other liquid: the electrical connections or the switch
must not come into contact with water or any other liquid.
• Do not use scouring pads.
• When your team maker has finished infusing, prevent temperature
shocks with cold water.
• Do not put the product parts in the dishwasher.
• The lid gasket has been designed to be removable in order to allow
clean the lid.
DESCALING
De-scale regularly, preferably at least once a month or more frequently if
your water is very hard.
To de-scale your tea maker:
• Using white vinegar:
– Fill the teapot with 0.5 L of white vinegar.
– Leave to stand for 1 hour without heating.
• Using citric acid:
– Boil 0.5 L of water.
– Add 25 g of citric acid and leave to stand for 15 min.
• Empty the teapot and rinse 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
To de-scale your infuser basket and lid:
Soak the infuser basket and lid in white vinegar or diluted citric acid.
• Never use a de-scaling method other than the recommended method.
IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS
THERE IS NO EVIDENT DAMAGE TO YOUR TEA MAKER
• The tea maker does not work or stops before coming to the boil
– Check that your tea maker is properly connected.
– The tea maker has been switched on without water or an
accumulation of scale has triggered the over-heat cut-off
mechanism: allow the tea maker to cool down and fill it with water.
Descale first if scale has accumulated.
