HOW CAN YOU CARE FOR YOUR SUP?
/
Limit exposure of the deck-side of your SUP to direct sunlight. While in use, water flowing over the deck
helps regulate surface temperature. However, when the anti-slip deck pad is dry, the heat absorption effect
is amplified if directly exposed to sunlight.
/
Inspect your SUP for dings and cracks before and after each use. Minor abrasions, dents, wearing off
and scratches are normal and will not impact your SUP's performance.
/
Store your SUP in a well-ventilated and shaded area when you do not use it. Your SUP can be damaged
if it is exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
HOW CAN YOU MAINTAIN YOUR SUP?
/
The best way to clean your SUP is by using a mixture of mild soap and warm water.
We also recommend rinsing it with fresh water after each use to remove sand and saltwater deposits.
Clean your SUP regularly to keep it looking like new. Some chemical substances contained
in cleaning products and sunscreen lotions are likely to damage the anti-slip deck pad of your SUP.
/
Never try to paint your SUP. Paint will not adhere to the hull.
HOW CAN YOU STORE YOUR SUP FOR
AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?
/
Clean your SUP.
/
Remove tight straps or ropes from the hull as this can deform your SUP.
/
Remove the drain plug and leave it out as this will regulate the air pressure inside the SUP.
Place the SUP in an upright position (on its stern) to empty water that
has accumulated as a result of condensation or seepage.
/
Store your SUP in a well-ventilated and shaded area. Direct sunlight for an extended period
of time can damage it. Do not store your SUP in a SUP bag for extended periods of time. SUP
bags are intended for transportation only. Prolonged storage of a wet SUP in a wet bag may cause
mold and osmotic blisters. SUP bags also collect heat and can potentially overheat your SUP.
/
Place your SUP on a flat surface. Avoid placing it on sawhorses or resting it on its fin for an extended
period of time. Avoid placing it close to a heat source (e.g., stove, radiator, etc.) or hanging it by its
carrying handles as this could deform the hull over time. You can temporarily store your
SUP on its side or in an upright position. However, storing it in either of these positions for
an extended period of time could cause a flattening or deformation of the hull.
