2.2 Starting up

Check that the drip pan is inserted.
•
Before using the appliance for the first cooking, it's necessary to remove every packing
•
material and clean the plate carefully from the protective industrial oil, as follows:
a) Clean it from oil using a soft cloth with water and neutral detergent;
b) Eliminate detergent traces, dry with a soft cloth and empty the drip pan;
c) Start up the plate and wait that it reaches the temperature.
An automatic device actives again the heating elements when the temperature goes down
respect to the selected value.
Turning off:
To turn the knob into "0" position;

If the appliance is not used, turn off the Thermal-magnetic switch.

In the Models G3136.....G3149 it's possible to use one half of the hotplate or to make the
other halves work at different temperature.
During use of the Fry-Top it's advisable to clean the hotplate and remove all the residue
which is deposited, using the proper brush or a damp cloth.
ATTENTION: At first ignition, the machine with mild steel plate (G3130, G3131, G3136,
G3137, G3138, G3139, G3149) have a blue colour on cooking surface which will became
darker using it several time. This is normal!
Ignition:
• To insert the main switch;
• To turn the knob on desired power value.
The working temperature is from + 50°C and +
320°C.
The green and the red spy lights turns on.
The green light indicates the presence of electrical
tension.
The red light indicates that the heating elements are
working; when the temperature is reached, they just
turn off.
