NOTES ON OPERATION

Live Monitoring: The headphone jack provides direct monitoring of the mic
signal while recording, without any delay typically occuring when using the
computer's headphones out. Use the MONITOR knob to adjust the balance
of pre-recorded audio and live audio levels.
Gain: For maximum audio quality, set the mic gain as high as possible. The
peak level indicator should remain green steadily while recording, only flick-
ering yellow at highest sound volumes. Turn gain down, when the peak level
indicator shows red.
Pad Switch: The pad switch helps prevent distortion from extremely loud
sources, for example when close-miking horns or drums.
