PERATION OF THE UPPER PART OF THE
(Periods Number + Chronometer)
It is controlled by the upper section of the keyboard.
Turn on and off the chronometer with the [ON/OFF]
key. The programming of the Chronometer or the
changing of the Periods are possible only when the
count is stopped.
To change the number of Periods, press the
[PROG.PRESET] key so the digit flashes, and than
change it by pressing the [+1] or [–1] keys. At the end
press the [PROG.PRESET] key again to exit the
flashing/change mode.
To plan the wished chronometer time limit, press the
[PROG.PRESET] key. The programming is possible
only when the count is stopped.
Press once or several times the key [] until the digit
that has to be modified becomes flashing. The
flashing digits can be modified using the [+1] and [–1]
keys.
Press again the [PROG.PRESET] key to end the
programming.
The [PRESET XX:XX] key up-loads the chronometer
with the planned time.
The [START/STOP] key starts or stops the backward
count. The state of count or stop count of the
chronometer is shown respectively by the green or
red colour of the 2 central bright points.
The [PRESET 00:00] key sets the chronometer to
zero.
In this case the [START/STOP] key starts or stops
the forward counting. In both situations (forward or
backward counting) an acoustic signal warns you that
the programmed time has expired.
The
acoustic
signaller
disactivated whenever the [2nd_F] and [SOUND
ON/OFF] keys are pressed in succession. When the
signaller is activated, it can be manually operated at
any time by pressing the [SOUND] key.
By pressing [2nd_F] and then [TEST] all the LEDs of
the Chronometer and Periods turn on for a possible
check in; to exit from the test press any key.
Visualization of the tenths of second in the last
minute of the game in the backward count: this
function is enabled by default from the manufacturer.
It comes disabled [enabled] keeping pressed for 10
seconds the [PRESET XX:XX] key when the count is
stopped: as confirmation the 00 [-0] digits will appear.

Every scoreboard can work with only one remote
control at a time. To tune in a scoreboard with a
remote control: stand in front of the scoreboard and
keep pressed the [ON-OFF] button on the remote
control until the scoreboard turns on and off at least 6

are other scoreboards in the same room while tuning,
block their reception of the remote control or remove
their plugs.

Linking a second scoreboard as REPEATER
Sometimes can be useful install two scoreboards to
improve the visualization for the spectators and/or the
players. Therefore, identify the best position and
follow the same instructions of fixing and powering of
the PLAY40.
The link between the PLAY40 principal scoreboard
and
the
PLAY40-REPEATER
through a 100m long telephone cable given in
endowment.
