• Check that the end of the gun is well-attached before turning on the product. The end must be fixed to the heating element and
secured with screws.
• Put the gun on a support. Do not leave the heating part or the end of the gun on a surface which can be damaged by the heat.
• To extend the lifetime of your soldering gun, it is advised to slightly lubricate the end of the gun.
• Plug the iron 5 minutes before using it. The iron starts heating as soon as it is plugged. Before using the iron, it has to reach the
working temperature.
The temperature to use depends on wire thickness where the weld will be realised. It also depends on the melting point.
Press the end of the gun on the wire or the work piece. When the work piece is hot, add the melted metal then remove the gun.
MAINTENANCE
Make maintenance operations only when the product is UNPLUGGED.
1 Maintenance
Before making any change, please make sure the product is unplugged and cold. If the power supply cable is melted or cut, the
gun must not be used. There is a risk of electrocution. Any cable repairs must be carried out by a qualified person.
2 Cleaning
The soldering gun oxidises and becomes dirty very quickly. Unplug the gun before cleaning it. Clean the tip before and after each
use with a stripping solution and a sponge. When the gun is hot, it is also possible to clean it with a wet sponge until it is shiny.
3 Changing the tip
Contact our after-sales department to get the correct spare parts. Unscrew the 2 screws and remove the tip. Replace the tip inside
the heating element and retighten the screws.
4 Storage
Keep the product in a dry area, keep out of the reach of children.
WARRANTY
The warranty will not be valid in the event of : abnormal use, incorrent application, electrical modification, damage due to transport,
a handling fault, using non original parts or accessories,or maintenance work done by an unauthorized person.
