Follow the instructions for lubricating or for changing accessories. Check on a
regular basis the condition of the power cable and if necessary give the repair to
an authorized after-sales department. Keep the handles clean.
14. Unplug your tools when not in use, before maintenance and before you need
to change any accessory.
15. Avoid unintentional start-up. Do not carry a tool keeping your finger on the
switch. Make sure the switch is on OFF before plugging in the product. Do not use
a product if the switch does not work properly. To change the switch, ask only the
authorized technical service to do it.
16. Extension for outdoor use.
For outdoor use, only use outdoor extensions with standards written on it. Check
on a regular basis the condition of the extension cables and replace them if they
are damaged.
17. Concentrate on the work. Do not use the product if you are tired, under me-
dication, or the influence of alcohol or drugs.
18) Pull out setting keys. Get used to checking that the setting keys are not on the
product before turning it on.
19. Look for damaged parts. Before using the product, check carefully condition
of the parts to make sure they are working properly. Check alignment of moving
parts, and other settings which could affect the function of the machine. Unless
otherwise stated in the instructions, it is recommended to repair or replace, by
an authorized service agent any damaged part. Faulty switches need to be re-
placed. Do not use the product if the switch does not control the start and the stop.

vised to use in this manual could lead to personal injury.
21. Give the product repair to a specialist. This electrical device is in accordance
with safety rules. The repair of electrical devices or the use of non-original spare
parts, by unqualified person presents an injury risk for the user.
22. The safety rules and the instructions indicated in this user manual do not
contain a comprehensive list of everything that could happen. The user and/or
the operator must use the product carefully and with common sense.
II) Particular safety rules
Please read carefully the following information in order to use the product properly
and to avoid electrocution, serious injuries and fire.
1. Do not use the gun if the product, the power supply cable or the mains plug
are damaged.
2. Use the soldering gun in a ventilated room. Some soldering materials can
create toxic fumes. Make sure that your have adequate ventilation. Never use the
product in a closed and non-ventilated area. Always wear a helmet with a respi-
