Step 1 – Unpack and Inspect
Unpack the padlock kit and inspect the parts for any
shipping damage. Verify that all parts are supplied, as listed
in Table 1 and illustrated in Figure 2.
Step 2 – Installation
This procedure is illustrated in Figure 2. Numbers in
brackets in the text and in Figure 2 refer to the item numbers
in Table 1.
1. Insert the keyhole screw [1] with a
driver in the hole in the breaker case above the
handle position. Tighten to 0.75 N-m [6.6 lb-in] until the
base of the screw is flush with the breaker cover.
2. Place the padlock bracket [2] into position over the
switch, so that the slot in the top of the bracket slides
into the groove in the keyhole screw [1]. Align the hole
in the bracket [4] with the hole in the breaker top cover
and then secure the bracket to the breaker with a #6-20
thread forming
screw
screwdriver. Apply maximum tightening torque of 1.13
N-m [10 lb-in] until the screw [3] is seated in the bracket
[2].
3. Trip the breaker and fasten the padlock connector [4]
to the breaker handle with a #6-20 thread-forming screw
[3] with a Philips-head screwdriver. Apply maximum
tightening torque of 1.13 N-m [10 lb-in] torque until the
screw [3] is seated in the connector [4].
Step 3 – Operation
To lock the breaker in the
far down as it will go, then slide the shank of the padlock
through the holes in the padlock bracket [2] and padlock
connector [4]. See DEH41177 for installation and operation
of the FG breaker.
These instructions do not cover all details or variations in
equipment nor do they provide for every possible contingency that
may be met in connection with installation, operation, or
maintenance. Should further information be desired or should
particular problems arise that are not covered sufficiently for the
purchaser's purposes, the matter should be referred to the GE

2. Placer la ferrure du cadenas [2] en position par-dessus
l'interrupteur, de manière à ce que l'encoche dans le
haut de la ferrure glisse dans la rainure dans la vis- trou
de serrure [1]. Aligner le trou dans la ferrure [4] avec le
trou dans le couvercle du haut du disjoncteur et fixer
ensuite la ferrure au disjoncteur avec une vis auto-
taraudeuse #6-20 [3] et un tournevis à tête Philips.
Appliquer un couple de serrage maximum de 1.13 N-m
[10 lb.-po.] jusqu'à ce que la vis [3] soit bien en place
dans la ferrure [2].
3. Déclencher le disjoncteur et attacher le raccord du
cadenas [4] à la poignée du disjoncteur avec une vis
auto-taraudeuse #6-20 [3] et un tournevis à tête Philips.
Appliquer un couple de serrage maximum de 1.13 N-m
[10 po.-lb.] serrer jusqu'à ce que la vis [3] soit en place
dans le raccord [4].
Étape 3 – Opération
Pour verrouiller le disjoncteur en position
poignée aussi bas que possible, puis glisser la tige du
cadenas à travers les trous dans la ferrure du cadenas [2] et
du raccord du cadenas [4]. Voir DEH41177 pour
l'installation et l'opération du disjoncteur FG.
