5. MAINTENANCE - CLEANING - LUBRICATION
After each use, clean the brush clearer.
Stop the machine and place the brush clearer in a steady position. From time to
time, check blade fixing screw tightening.
5.1 CHECKING AND CHANGING THE OIL
Every 50 hours, check the oil through oil plug n.2 fig.1 using the dip stick.
Every 500 hours change the oil.
To drain the oil, tip the brush clearer over to allow the oil to drain out through
plug n.2 fig.1
It is advisable to use AGIP ROTRA MP 80W/90 oil. Amount needed is approx.
0.700 kg.
6 REGISTRATIONS
6.1 REGULATING WORK HEIGHT
Work height is adjusted by raising or lowering slide n.1 fig.3, using screws n.2.
7. SAFETIES
A device is installed on the brush clearer's drive pinion that acts as a clutch to
protect the rotary cultivator's gears from violent impact.
The centrifugal blade absorbs in part any impact the cutters are subjected to.
The machine has an automatic release sleeve coupling it to the cultivator and
this allows drive transmission in a single direction. This eliminates the problem of
the blade's centrifugal force which tends to move the cultivator forward even if
the clutch is disengaged.
