Counterbalancing mechanism with spring loaded shaft for KS tambour doors
1.) Tensioning definition
Tensioning the spring loaded shaft with an open-ended spanner or shaft holder at the milled
double flat spindle, anticlockwise.
With every rotation the tensioning lock (small cylinder pin) drops downwards in the tube and blocks
the return in the milled-in helical groove of the double flat spindle.
The number of tensioning operations depends on the length and width of the roller shutter.
Procedure:
Before tensioning the spring loaded shaft, fit roller shutter to spring loaded shaft by sliding
•
onto the clamping rings.
Wind roller shutter all the way around the spring loaded shaft (once).
•
Count number of windings around the spring loaded shaft and unwind roller shutter again,
•
as shown in picture.
The number of tensioning revolutions can be found in the table below:
•
This information is approximate and must be compared with the actual cabinet situation
and the roller shutter (width/height).
