Built-in wireless switch "RSLW2"
Item no. 64 03 79
Use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
A user connected to a built-in radio switch can be turned on or off by the rocker switch, as is used from a
conventional wall switch.
Over the integrated radio receiver, the wireless can also be turned on or off over any wireless switch of the
RSL system (e.g., wireless remote controll, wireless wall switch, etc.).
The built-in wireless switch may only be used on the mains voltage (230 V/AC, 50 Hz). A maximum consumer
load of 2000 W (Ohm resistive load) or 300 W (inductive load) can be connected and switched.
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to hazards
such as short-circuiting, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modifi ed or converted!
Always observe the safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Please read the operating
instructions carefully and keep them.

Safety Instructions
Read the complete operating manual carefully before using the product as it contains
important information about the correct installation and operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in such cases!
Caution!
The product may only be installed by a qualifi ed technician (e.g., electrician) who is famil-
iar with the relevant regulations (e.g., VDE, German electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own life but
also the life of others! If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not
install it yourself but entrust it to a qualifi ed electrician.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product!
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There is a risk of a lethal
electric shock!
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although RSL System transmitters
only emit relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunctioning of life-support
systems. The same may possibly be the case in other areas.
• The built-in wireless switch should only be used on the mains voltage (230 V/AC, 50 Hz).
• Only carry out the installation when all the mains cables to the built-in wireless switch are
disconnected from the mains voltage. Otherwise, there is a risk of a life-threatening electric
shock!
• The product may only be installed and used in dry indoor spaces, it must not get damp or wet.
Never touch the built-in wireless switch with wet or damp hands! There is a risk of a life-
threatening electric shock!
• Only use the product when it is securely installed and steady. Install the built-in wireless
switch, for example, in a suitable fl ush or wall mounted contact box.
• Do not use this product in rooms or under adverse ambient conditions where combustible
gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-
chanical stress.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the product
immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Do not touch the built-in wireless

Installation and Connection
• Install the wireless switch in a suitable fl ush or wall mounted housing, contact box or similar.
• The built-in wireless switch must be disconnected from the mains supply during installation. Turn off the
mains supply by switching off the appropriate circuit breaker or pulling out the fuse. Secure it against
unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a danger sign.
Furthermore, turn off the ground leakage circuit breaker to disconnect all the poles from the mains voltage.
• Check that the mains connection is current free with a suitable tester.
• Connect the consumer load to the two middle screw terminals; see
picture on the right.
The connection "N" is the neutral wire; the connection "
connected output/phase/L.
• The outer two screw terminals are used for connecting to the mains
voltage ("N" = Neutral wire, "L" = Phase).
• To secure the built-in wireless switch, fi rst carefully pry open and
remove the rocker switch, e.g., with a fl at screwdriver.
• Insert the built-in wireless switch carefuly into the surface/wall mount
box.
• The built-in wireless switch can then be fi xed over the two
clamps to the left and right in the surface/wall mount box.
Otherwise, the built-in wireless switch can also be screwed
over the side fastenings to the surface/wall mount box (hole
spacing of the side fastenings = 60 mm).
• Finally, turn the rocker switch that was removed at the beginning back on.
Be careful, in this, that the rocker switch is plugged in the right position, so that the
button (see the arrow to the right in the fi gure) lies directly under the symbol "
the rocker switch.
To the left, next to the button, the LED control is visible.
Disconnect the built-in wireless switch from the mains by switching off the appropriate circuit
breaker or pulling out the fuse. Furthermore, turn off the earth leakage circuit breaker to discon-
nect all the poles of the mains supply.
Let an expert check the product.
• A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or well (fl ickering light, leaking smoke or a smell of burn-
ing, the light fl ickers, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product or the adjacent
surfaces.)
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for chil-
dren.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer's liability insur-
ance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to be observed!
