Lead the end of the wire loom marked R from the outside through the hole expanded in step 3 to the right-hand
taillight.
a)
Disconnect the vehicle-side 5-pin socket housing from the right-hand taillight and connect it with the
matching counterparts of the cable loom.
b)
Push the remaining socket housing of the cable loom onto the right-hand taillight.
c)
Position the rubber grommet and install it in the passage-hole to the boot.

Lead the end of the wire loom marked L from the outside through the passage-hole made on the left-hand side of
the boot in step 3 and on to the left-hand taillight.
a)
Disconnect the vehicle-side 5-pin connector from the left-hand taillight and connect it to the matching
counter pieces of the wire loom.
b)
Push the remaining socket housing of the cable loom onto the left-hand taillight.
c)
Position the rubber grommet and install it in the passage-hole to the boot.
d). Connect the ring eyelets of the brown leads to a suitable ground point. (If necessary, use the supplied
sheet metal screw to attach them to a vehicle-side ground point.)

Plug the supplied module onto the 8-pin socket of the wire loom and fasten it at a suitable spot using the M5 x 10
screw. Take extra care that moisture cannot enter the module (danger of short circuiting).
9.
Installing the positive lead
a)
Lay the red lead forwards along the left side of the vehicle to the area of the central electrics box in the
driver's side footwall.
b)
Cut a vehicle-side positive terminal 30 lead at an easily accessible spot in this area.
c)
Strip the insulation of both ends of the cut lead for about 5 mm, crimp the supplied flat connector and flat
plug respectively onto both ends and insert them into the flat connector housing resp. flat plug housing.
d)
Connect a fuse holder with fitted fuse to the vehicle-side red connecting lead (short).
e)
Connect the fitted socket housings to the matching counter pieces of red lead of the wire loom.
