Disconnect the earth lead from the battery

Unhook the storage compartment on the right-hand side covering of the boot. Fold up the boot covering and
dismantle the boot sill covering. Remove the taillights and the D column coverings on both sides. Loosen the side
sheathings on both sides of the boot and fold them forwards. Remove the foam inserts from the cavities on both
sides of the boot floorboard.

To pass through the cable loom (socket connector) remove the covering of the existing passage-hole on the right
side of the floorboard. Expand this hole to 40 mm Ø. Make a corresponding 40 mm Ø hole on the left side of the
boot floorboard. Treat the edges of the hole with a suitable anti-corrosive primer.
Connect the cable set in the following way:

a)
Lead the 7-wire end of the cable set with ferrules through the hole in the holder plate for the socket
b)
Draw attached rubber socket retaining plate over the end of cable set (if necessary use anti-friction agent),
c)
Disassemble the socket and connect cables according to the following assignment:

Push the socket with rubber retaining plate and screw the socket tightly onto the retaining plate using the supplied
nuts and screws:
a)
Pay special attention to the right position of rubber retaining plate,
b)
Put the cable set gently to avoid any folds and to secure it from possible wiping.
