The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Remove the bumper and the rear lights then strip the luggage trunk upholstery.

If the car has chassis extension cover lid and drag bar eye then remove them (These will

not be reinstalled later).
Lower the exhauster and the left side tank ventilation motor then remove the ablation
–
plate.
Slide the sides of the drag hook body into the chassis extension then according to the
–
drawing loosely fix it with the attached fixing elements and accessories (2) at positions „a"
and „b".
Adjust the drag hook into mid position then tighten all the screws.

According to the regulations connect the electric wires by cracking the rear bundle.

Cut out the bumper according to the attached templet.

Reinstall the ablation plate, the exhauster, the tank ventilation motor, the bumper and the
–
rear lights then the luggage trunk upholstery.
Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
