Operation
a) Inserting the remote control battery
• Change the battery once every year, or at the very latest when the switch does not pick up the signal or
only picks it up sporadically.
• When using for the first time, pull and remove the plastic battery contact isolator from the battery
compartment.
• Remove the battery compartment cover on the bottom side of the remote control. To do this, push the lock
to the middle of the battery holder and remove it (pay attention to the arrow markings).
• Insert a new 3 V CR2025 button cell battery with correct polarity into the battery compartment (observe
plus/+ and minus/-).
• Slide the battery holder with the newly inserted battery back into the compartment. Ensure that it clicks
into place properly.
When changing the battery, also refer to the diagram on the back of the remote control.
b) Connecting the switch

• Turn off all devices and remove their mains plugs from the mains socket.
• Connect a suitable HDMI cable (not included) to the Out HDMI connection (1) and the HDMI input on a
suitable HDTV display device.
• Connect a suitable HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI In3 HDMI input (2) and the output on an HDTV
signal source.
• Connect other HDMI inputs (HDMI In2 (3) or HDMI In1 (4)) to the outputs on HDTV signal sources until all
available devices are connected.
• Connect a suitable VGA cable (not included) to the VGA In2 VGA input (5) and the output on a VGA signal
source. If required, connect a second VGA cable (not included) to the VGA In1 VGA input (7).
• Connect a suitable audio cable (not included) to the Audio In audio input (6) and the output on an audio
signal source associated with the relevant VGA input. If required, connect a second audio cable with a
3.5 mm connector (not included) to the Audio In audio input (8) and a second audio signal source.
• Connect the 5V/DC, 2A (9) low voltage socket to the low voltage connector on the power adapter.
• Connect the power adapter to a suitable mains socket.
A High Speed HDMI cable is required to display a 3D signal with a bandwidth of more than 225
MHz or with a 4K2K resolution.
c) Operating the switch directly
• Press the ON/OFF button (17) to turn on the switch. The VGA In1 LED indicator (15) will turn on.
The product is now ready to use.
• Press the Select button (10) to move through the active signal inputs from left to right (VGA In1 is the
default setting).
• Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the switch. The LED indicators turn off.
d) Operating the switch with the remote control
• Point the front of the remote control at the IR sensor (16). Ensure that there are no objects obstructing
the infra-red beam.
• Press the on/off button
(D) to turn on the switch.
• Press a button on the remote control (B, C, E, F, G) to switch to the desired active signal input.
• Use the arrow buttons (H or A) to move through the active signal inputs from left to right, or right to left
(VGA In1 is the default setting).
• Press the on/off button
(D) to turn off the switch. All LED indicators will turn off.
• The maximum range of the remote control is 10 m with no obstructions.

Care and cleaning
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product, therefore
never open/dismantle it.
• The device does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning.
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the surface when cleaning to avoid
scratch marks.
• Dust can be easily removed using a clean long-haired brush.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved
are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on
the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
