If alterations or changes are made to the
rear carrier system / accessories, the op-
erating permit will be invalidated.
The rear carrier is not suitable for fitting
to tow balls made from GGG 40 or alu-
minium .
The rear carrier system / accessories is
not designed for transporting tandem bi-
cycles.
The rear carrier is not a substitute for a
trailer.
The rear carrier system / accessories is
not designed for the weight of persons.
Do not climb onto the rear carrier.

General safety instructions

When using the rear carrier system /
Z
accessories, please ensure that the na-
tional laws of the respective country are
observed .
When using the rear carrier system /
Z
accessories, please ensure that the ve-
hicle manufacturer's specifications are
adhered to (e.g. max. support load of the
trailer hitch).
Ensure that children do not play with the
Z
rear carrier system / accessories.
Ensure that the load does not protrude
Z
more than 40 cm beyond the outer edge
of the tail lights of the rear carrier system.
Ensure that the change to the axle distri-
Z
bution caused by the rear carrier system /
accessories does not lead to the permis-
sible axle loads being exceeded.
Always have damaged parts replaced
Z
with original spare parts immediately. Do
not transport bicycles on a damaged rear
carrier system / accessories.
Ensure that the trailer hitch is clean and
Z
free of grease before installation.
Ensure that the lock on the rear carrier
Z
system is always locked while driving and
the key is removed.
Check the operation of the lighting before
Z
every trip with the rear carrier system.
Ensure that the third brake light of the ve-
Z
hicle is visible with the rear carrier system
/ accessories fitted. If this is not guaran-
teed, connect a substitute brake light.

Residual risks

Risk of accident due to different handling
The vehicle will handle differently with the
rear carrier system / accessories fitted and
loaded.
Take increased braking distances into
Z
consideration .
Adjust your driving speed (no more then
Z
130 km/h on motorways depending on
the road, traffic and weather conditions).
Risk of accident due to incorrect
installation
If the equipment is not installed correctly,
the rear carrier system / accessories or the
load can become detached while driving
and cause accidents .
Do not use elastic tension straps.
Z
Check all screw connections and tension
Z
straps for damage, secure mounting and
proper seating after initial installation,
after making a short trip (approx. 50 km)
and then before every trip, and re-tighten
if necessary. Always have damaged parts
replaced with original spare parts imme-
diately. Repeat checking at regular inter-
vals, also depending on the type of road
surface, at least every 500 km.
In the event of unusual noise or difference
Z
in the handling of the vehicle, check that
the load and the rear carrier system / ac-
cessories are firmly seated.
If the rear carrier system moves on the
Z
coupling head, the clamping force must
be adjusted as per the installation man-
ual.
Risk of accident from folding down while
driving
If the rear carrier system is not correctly en-
gaged in the transport position, it may swiv-
