7. A confirmation message will be shown along with a note prompting you to
configure the RAS service. Click OK.
8. In the Add RAS Device dialog box, select ISDN1 – wdxwmac and click OK.
Repeat this process for the second ISDN B channel by clicking Add in the
Remote Access Setup dialog box. Select ISDN2 – wdxwmac and click OK.
The Remote Access Setup dialog box will now list two devices: ISDN1 –
wdxwmac and ISDN2 – wdxwmac, both of type ISDN.
9. Next, configure the port usage for each ISDN B channel. To do so, click
Configure and select a port usage for each of the two RAS devices.
10. Configure your network now. Once you are done configuring your network, click
Next in the Remote Access Setup dialog box.
11. Click Close to complete the installation. For the new settings to take effect,
restart your PC.
12. Once your PC restarts, there will be two new devices, ISDN0 and ISDN1,
available for use with Dial-Up Networking.
Installing the CAPI (For Window NT 4.0)
1. In Control Panel, double-click the Network icon.
2. Select the Protocols tab and click Add.
3. Once the computer generates the network adapter option list, click Have Disk.
4. Enter the source directory where your driver software is located. For example,
if your CD-ROM drive uses the drive letter D:, enter D:\WINNT40\CAPI.
5. Select the CAPI 2.0 Protocol entry. Then click OK.
6. The CAPI 2.0 device drivers are installed. Once this is completed, the Protocols
tab will show the new entry for the CAPI 2.0 protocol.
Installation and Configuration under Windows 2000
1. Once you have inserted the ISDN PCI Card TA card in its slot in the system unit,
the hardware recognition feature of Windows 2000 will recognize a new hardware
component and will automatically start the Hardware Wizard.
Click Next.
2. Accept the default setting to have the computer search for a suitable driver for
your device, and click Next.
3. Select the Specify a location check box and then click Next.
4. Enter D:\W98Me2k and click OK.
