Each channel 1-4 on the switching module can be used to
control one heating system. Control takes place in parallel
with the switching functions of the associated outputs. The
outputs are not switched directly (except mode 7).
Caution! To ensure that the heating control func-
tions correctly, each device (radio transmitter) that
is used must be assigned to the relevant channel of
the module and the associated mode in the table!

note on mode 7
Two-point control using a room thermostat is possible
with mode 7. The D 681 TSA valve actuator is directly con-
nected to an output of the module to do this. The thermo-
stat then controls the output of the switching module and
the valve actuator that is connected to it. Please pay atten-
tion to the valve actuator operating instructions!
note on mode 8
Mode 8 is intended for displaying the heater controller.
The associated outputs are not switched directly. Only out-
put status notification takes place. The status notification
can be displayed visually on the PC display or by bidirec-
tional devices (e.g. handheld transmitters). The following
can be displayed:
– The current room temperature.
– Status of the window (open/closed)
– Setting of EC valve actuator and battery status.
caution!! In order to make the heater controller display
operate successfully, the PC visualisation and the bidirec-
tional devices must be assigned to mode 8 beforehand!

overview of functions
The target value is set locally using the room temperature sensor. The target value designates the
target value
required room temperature (e.g. 20°C).
Activation of the heating is dependent on the temperature (target value) to be controlled:
– All windows closed
turn on heating (1)
– Hotel card inserted
– Valve actuator open
– Presence sensor  Movement detected
Deactivation of the heating is dependent on the anti-freeze function:
turn off heating
– Window(s) open
– Valve actuator closed
The anti-freeze function stops the heating system from freezing in winter. The heating is turned on if
Anti-freeze function (2)
the room temperature drops below the anti-freeze temperature, e.g. 8°C.
The room temperature is lowered by a adjustable temperature range of 2 to 12°C:
– Night setback active
night setback (2)
– Hotel card removed
– Presence sensor  No movement detected
(1) Dependent on night setback and anti-freeze function.
(2) Dependent on the room temperature sensor or valve actuator in use.
