INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONNECTION:
Fig 5
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONNECTION
The operations below must be carried out by trained personnel.
1) Before establishing the electrical connection, check that:
• The power supply system of the press is fitted with protection devices in compliance with the standards and
regulations in force in the country where it is installed.
• The power supply line has the following section: press voltage 400V/50 Hz, three-phased: min. 1.5 mm2.
The press is supplied without the power cable.
2) Connect the cable to the terminals of the switch of the press control unit (Fig. 2, ref. 6). The
manufacturer supplies the bridge designed for three-phase 400V operation.
3) Earth the machine.
4) After establishing the electrical connection, make sure that the direction of rotation of the motor
matches the direction of the arrow.
Prolonged rotation of the control unit in the opposite direction could cause serious damage
to the pump.
5) Apply a thin film of oil on the support pins of the press workbench.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the press bed at the required height as follows (see Fig. 3):
- Remove the stem cap and tightly screw the eyebolt supplied with the press onto the end of the cylinder.
- Make the chain supplied with the press pass through the connecting pins of the workbench and safely hook it
onto the eyebolt.
- Operate the on/off switch of the control unit on the power board.
- Operate the lever (as described below) to make the piston go up or down, after releasing and removing the
support pins of the workbench.
- Place the bed at the required height, and fit the support pins of the workbench into the hole of the press body just
underneath completely; remove the chain and the eyebolt, and replace the stem cap.
• Place the prisms on the bed; check them for correct positioning (Fig. 6).
• Center the piston with respect to the workpiece. To move the piston, loosen the safety lever, then act on the
movement handwheel. Once the piston is in place, lock the safety lever.
• Operate on/off switch (1) of the control unit (Fig. 7).
• Operate the lever (2) by pushing it and keeping it pressed towards the hydraulic unit, then raise or lower the lever
itself to move the piston.
• Carry out the work, then return the piston to rest in the highest position.
