7.4 Emptying waste container

Depending on the thickness of the stripped material, the
waste container should be emptied after every 2,000 to
6,000 cycles. The waste container must also be emptied
before each instance of transport or shipping.
► Pull out the waste container and empty it.
► Re-insert the waste container.

7.5 Cleaning the vibrating conveyor bowl

► Detach the vibrating conveyor bowl (see section 5.1).
► If ferrules are still inside, empty them.
► Blow out the container carefully with compressed air.
► Re-assemble the vibrating conveyor bowl.

7.6 Servicing the wire-holding tongs

► Clean the wire-holding tongs with a brush.
Additional monthly maintenance:
► L and LS: Oil the wire-holding tongs at the rotation
points (1) and at the contact areas (2) of the rollers.

7.7 Servicing the stranded wire fixing unit

► Clean the insertion funnel (1) with a brush.
► If necessary, use a soft cloth and some spirit.
Additional monthly maintenance:
► Pull the stranded wire fixing unit forwards (figure 7.4 , B).
► Check whether the rollers (2) are able to move freely.
If necessary, lubricate the rotation points of the rollers.
► Oil the rotation points (3) of the stranded wire fixing unit.
7.8 Servicing the stripping unit
► Make sure that the stranded wire fixing unit is in the front
position.
